A highly qualified, Kannada films producer and handsome looking with great maturity from gray hair after taking over as Chairman of Skill Development Board of Government of Karnataka Muralidhar Halappa addressed the major sections of Kannada cinema and TV Industry on Friday evening at Kaushalya Bhavan. His great thought to help the cinema and TV industry in his capacity has received wide appreciation. Skill Development Board coming to the support of cinema and TV industry is also for the first time in the history.

KCA Chairman SV Rajendra Singhu Babu, KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu, S A Chinne Gowda, SK Bhagwan, Subba Rao of Gopalan Mall, NM Suresh, KCN Chandrasekhar, Nanjunde Gowda, Kiran of KTV, Ravikiran, Abhinaya, Anirudh, director Pawan Kumar, KFCC members and others attended the thoughtful and sensitive meeting.

Muralidhar Halappa in his address stated that his Skill Development Board comes directly under the Chief Minister portfolio. The intention of this board is to keep the youngsters busy in shaping a profession of their choice. Nearly four thousand factories, companies and other establishment’s data base in Skill development Board would allot the youths of today to carve a niche of their interest. It gives training and also assists in forming self employment. Skill Development Board has done Udyoga Mela in Belagavi and to support the Kannada cinema industry and the Television industry.

The training and equipment purchase on the basis of project report is possible from Skill Development Board says Halappa. Right candidates for studies in abroad would get financial assistance. This skill development board in Karnataka to support indigenous growth has Rs.950 crore in the last Karnataka state budget. Halappa says most of the benefits are not utilized by right people. The students especially after college studies go blank on their future. They are having a fine route from this Skill Development Board he says.

Halappa also stated in his observation that cinema and TV industry should come out with good proposals. As of now from the cinema industry it is only subsidy, awards etc. we have to show the utilization of skill and guarantee the return for the bureaucrats so that the sanctions are in full flow. So far in this skill development board, cinema and TV industry have not been included despite of Industry tag for cinema business he stated.

Ravikiran representing TV industry outlined the need for purchase of equipments would be very helpful. In sanctioning for TV industry there is definite return he confidently stated. Abhinaya wanted to know whether there is opportunity for sports based activities.

Singh Babu sitting next to SK Bhagwan attacked on the crash courses taught are not useful today. We need good technicians and skill development would create employment for cinema industry would be beneficial.

SJ Bhagwan heading the training institute to churn out actors and technicians has announced to come up with special training for those who register under Skill Development Board.
